Children's Programs
Dance, Drama and Music Program:
Hindu Cultural Society is dedicated to bringing quality and affordable dance and acting instruction to our community. There is a very active and dedicated dance community already. However, there has never been an actual dance and acting studio at HCS, where these people can expand their knowledge of dance and acting and enjoy being with other people of like interests.
HCS plan to incorporate the existing dance and acting community into their studios to begin with a strong base of supporters. From there HCS will be able to spread the word that dancing and acting is a fun and exciting way to spend time to keep oneself healthy and fit. There are many benefits to dancing and acting that will attract people from many backgrounds and interests.
Group Classes:
Group classes are both an introduction to the experience of dancing and acting with different partners, and a chance for the students to become familiar with a variety of step patterns. Rotation of partners, throughout the class allows dancers and actors to practice steps and dialogue delivery with different partners. This format promotes comfort in dancing with several partners, as well as the comrade that goes along with sharing a learned experience. Group lessons are available every week in the traditional styles and latest club trends. Classes are offered at every level, from basic beginner through advanced competitive styling. In addition, specialty classes are offered for children and teens. Practice Dances are held once a week to allow students an opportunity to practice the dances learned, in an environment with other students learning the same thing. Instructors usually circulate on the dance floor, assisting with questions or demonstration of steps, as well as to dance with students.
Language Classes:
The Language program continues to meet its program and work plan objectives by successfully completing mandated and secondary activities throughout a year since 1996. Developed by HCS "see and say, listen and learn" method patterns the way children learn their first language. Children are growing quickly and the all important "window of opportunity" is wide open all the times. We look forward to hearing from you soon to register child with us.
